Radiohead has declined Itunes to selling their music. They have instead decided to sell the album on their website for free and only take in donations to how much their album is worth. As a result, many of their fans have gotten their album for free on their cheap iPod and most have not contributed a single penny. The average amount they recieved from fans was $6 if they did donate.

According to Fortune they have linked Radiohead as the 58th in dumbest moves of the year. Do you think it was really that dumb?.. Maybe yes from a money stand point, otherwise maybe the motivation was not money and to create beautiful music to be shared. Maybe they aren't money grieving people like folks at Fortune. Whatever the motivation was Radioheads album won't be on your iTunes for your cheap iPod.

Rumors has it, soon enough you are going to be able to rent movies on  iTunes for your cheap iPod.  No more running to the video store late at night just to find out it's closed. That is pretty cool because even if you are not a fan of watching a movie on your laptop or computer screen, you can just hook your laptop or computer to your TV. Of course, you can also put those movies on your cheap iPod through itunes.

Apple and Twentieth Century Fox are in the works of creating a deal in which there will be available instant movie rentals right on your computer. Then you can transfer it to your Cheap iPod. That really does mean no more late fees because probably when you can't watch them anymore they will take them back. I hear some trouble for blockbuster.

GPS is finally available for the iPhone with a special GPS dongle. Now you won't have to rely on the virtual GPS solutions which just triangulate based on cell phone towers.

The GPS dongle is  based on the SiRF Star III chipset and will require a jailbroken iPhone. Most people have hacked their iPhones so it shouldn't be a problem anyway.

The GPS device will ship in February so be sure to get one. I'm sure they'll be pretty popular.

Many people don't realize that you can play actual video games on your iPod. Apple has made it really easy to play games by letting you instantly download games from iTunes.

Recently, Apple has announced Sonic the Hedgehog for the iPod. This is an amazingly fun game and now you get to play on your iPod. How cool is that? It works on 3rd gen Nanos, 5th Gen iPod Video, and the iPod Classic. Be sure to check it out, because the iPod does more than just play music and videos!

The iPhone was recently crowned gadget of the year by Time Magazine. This is a pretty amazing award, but it was very well deserved. To think of it, I don't there is a single other gadget out there that even compares to the iPhone.

If you think about, the iPhone is both beautifully designed as well as extremely powerful. It's rare that these combinations meet these days, but the iPhone has done it. Let's all thank Steve Jobs obsessive perfectionism for it.

I wonder what Apple has in store for us next year?

Many people complained that it wasn't easy to use the iPhone as a external hard drive for transferring files. It looks like someone has made a working fix for this which lets you use AFP or the AppleTalk Filing Protocol to communicate with your Mac.

There isn't an easy installer App just yet. All you need to do is extract a couple of files in a couple of directories. Then you just need to connect to server in Finder and choose the right IP address which is 192.168.0.111.

This is going to be extremely popular and useful.

Now wouldn't that be something? Oh yeah, someone actually pulled it off and was able to put a Gameboy emulator on the iPhone. This is pretty amazing and awesome. The screen even looks like a gameboy. iPhone is getting applications so quickly that it's becoming the machine for people looking for a PDA phone.

The Gameboy emulator is still in its early release, but it should get better by the day. You will need to find the games yourself though as they don't provide any ROM games. You also have to supply your own BIOS which can be easily had as well. It's still not as easy to appeal to the masses but the geeks will love showing this one off.

More and more large sites are designing separate versions of their main site. More commonly, these sites are making mini sites for the iPhone. This is because the iPhone is such a popular device that it now has a pretty large group of users. The users are usually pretty tech savvy as well.

BBC is one of the first to do so where they will offer their entire website on a iPhone sized page. They will also offer podcasts on a special page as well. This is a great addition by BBC and shows how they are forward thinking.

It looks like someone made a typing program for the iPhone and iPod Touch. This is a great addition because many people complained that they didn't like the on screen typing that the iPhone and Touch force you to do. It sometimes can get annoying for people who just don't have the touch.

The typing software is from typingweb.com and they have a free iPhone section when you make an account. They have both a basic test and an advanced test.

This seems like a fun way to see who is the faster iPhone typer just like those text message competitions.
