A recent news in the Washington post article stated that Apple is soon launching a ‘beta program’ for the Apple store developers. This program is also referred to as an ad-hoc distribution and will help the store channel developers to distribute applications to the user.

This ad-hoc distribution will be a medium between the developer and the user for testing. The user only needs to provide their iPhone’s unique device identifier. The job of the developer is to send the compiled version of the application and the mobile provisioning file. The store developers are very keenly using this program for ad-hoc delivery to the users.

 
 

If anyone has lost any paid application from your iPhone or iPod and don’t have a back up in your iTunes library, don’t worry! Now you can re-download your purchased application from the App store designed by Apple.

You just have to visit App store from where you initially bought the application and tap on BUY. After entering your password you will be taken back to your home screen with a display message that you have already purchased this application and can download it again for free. Tapping on OK will begin the application download. So now you need not worry if you loose your favorite paid applications.

 
 

Folks! Here is some interesting news for you all! If you want to save an image while using Safari on your iPhone or iPod touch, you can do it 2.0 firmware easily. Tap the image in Safari and hold it. A subtle outline will be placed around the selected image.

You can save the image by tapping on the pop-up menu which appears or you can follow the image link too.  It works in mail also. So now you can always your pictures. Just go and grab it!

 
 

Apple activation servers are facing a lot of technical problems. It’s causing lots of trouble for iPhones and iPod updates. Apple retail is facing glitches with iTune activation servers which are running down. Users are not able to get through updates on Apple website

There is no information about resolution of server problems. It is causing problem for users updating 2.0 software update from home through iTunes for iPhones and iPod. iPhones have kept their phones disabled. They can only make emergency calls. Apple says that it is working hard to rectify the issue.

 
 

MobileMe is slated to go live between 6 pm and 12 am PT on 9th July. At 9.30 pm ET, Apple declared that it would take place between 8 pm and 2 am PT. Today MobileMe function fine but not all its services. Customers are facing problems with 3G iPhones with customers waiting in line for activation.

Some are being told to activate the phone on their own while activation servers are down. Apple software update was available a day earlier than Apples fixed date. Activation servers are causing problems for 1st generation iPhone re-activation after the update. iPod users are also feeling the problem.

 
 

Now poaching started with iPhones as well. A new team of unscrupulous poachers have started stealing free software. They are UK based. Their website details iphoneunlockuk.com, confirms it. They are selling Pwnage tool for a whopping price of £29.99 ($60). This is a very good margin considering their operating cost is nil, as they have not built and they don’t have any rights to distribute.

The iPhone dev team is just not happy about this. They commented that they have put in lot of efforts and brought the application for free. They have not given the license to anyone. They are trying their best to catch the thieves.

 
 

A speculation has just arrived from Macworld. It is believed that Mail, Stocks, Maps, Weather and Notes might be made available for used or older models as a part of the July 11 release. But people feel of worse situation. This is for the iPod owners.
