It is good to know that creative professionals like artists, photographers, writers, musicians etc are using many things for their inspiration. Among those is Apple iPhones and their other products.

Among the few popular art pieces, a recent piece, "Porta Party" was created. Wondering what “Porta party” means? It is huge iPod like box wherein you go inside and then you bring your iPod and then dance to your favourite music. Apple has been allowing many artists and creative professionals to utilize and achieve their full potential.

Cool products for you! Now there are many ways to check your heart beats, body temperature etc. But do you know that your shoes will be able to give you such type of readings? You must be thinking how it is possible. You must be aware that Apple and Nike have collaborated and sold transmitters fitted in shoes and even receivers attached to iPod Nanos.

Reports state that iPodNN has filed a patent for added Nike+ features. With this you xan check your hydration levels, heart rates, EKG etc., this is possible through new equipment placed "on or in" articles of clothing.

Good news for all, especially for the iPhone developers. Developers always wait for the new version or the upgrades to know what best can be developed. Many of the developers were just waiting they just upgraded to 5A240d.

The news is, PwnageTool new version has been launched version 1.1. This tool is just magical. You can add logos, custom packages and also fixes the EDGE settings under 1.1.4. You can get the updates from the website iPhone-dev.org. If you want to upgrade from the iPhone itself, just select the PwnageTool and then look for Updates (Command-U) directly from the app.

Nike Plus News 04/15/2008

The Nike+ system was initially designed for the iPod nano to allow users to record exercise data and track it on the Nike+ website.  Now Apple is adapting the system to run on the iPhone and the iPod touch.  Yes, it's going to still include the sensor that goes in your running shoe.

There's a possibility that the new system will make use of the iPod touch's wifi to transmit the data (distance and length of a walk/run) to the Nike+ site.  There will also be a "Coach" option to assist you in scheduling your exercise.  If this is what it takes to make exercise fun again, we're in.

Once again, iTunes is at the top of the digital music brand heap for consumer awareness, says a study from the global marketing research minds at Ipsos Insight.  The TEMPO Digital Music Brandscape study claims that about 82% of all U.S. music downloaders are aware of iTunes.  38% of these downloaders, legal and illegal, consider iTunes on a top-of-mind basis.

This is unassailable proof that iTunes is the "pre-eminent brand in digital music", according to Ispsos Insight's Sernior Research Manager.  Of the downloaders that were aware of at least one site besides iTunes, half believe it to at the top of the list of fee-based digital music services.  The same figure statistic was 33% in 2005 and 41% in 2006.  Go iTunes.

iPod, Meet iPod! 04/08/2008

You have a bunch of cool songs on your iPod and you want to share them with a friend.  Maybe that same friend has tracks you'd like to pick up on your iPod, but iTunes is getting between the romance between the two.  Don't fret - Misu is here to save the day.

Misu (http://misuapp.com) is a small app that removes the obvious obstacles in sharing between iPods.  Hook both of them up to to your Mac (make sure it's on the Leopard OS) and Misu takes care of the rest, blending the libraries so that both parties come away smiling.  Version 1.0 is now availale at the site for the relatively small sum of $19.

It's amazing what you can find on the Internet.  Ars Technica says that unreleased info from NPD MusicWatch puts Apple at the top of the music retailer heap.  This all supposedly comes from an internal email over at Apple that I'm sure WalMart wishes hadn't been leaked.

Apple's slice of the retail music sales pie has increased to 19%, with Walmart down to 15% and Best Buy rounding out the top three with 13%.  Since this spot has never been held by a download service, it's going to be interesting to see how things play out in this new era.  As Apple's press release states, "The iTunes Store became the largest music retailer in the US based on the amount of music sold in January and February 2008."  So there.

Black silhouettes dancing across the screen as U2's "Vertigo" blasts through the speakers.  Canadian singer/songwriter Feist's whimsical video for her hit "1,2,3,4".  These are the moving images that we've grown to associate with iPod campaigns.

In South Africa, they're getting a whole new look at our favorite portable media player.  A recent campaign launched by Apple features powerful images of a rapper's microphone cord seamlessly becoming the listener's earbuds.  Another ad has a band rocking away in a purse, further illustrating the concept of having music at your disposal.  The iPod is quickly going global.

After an almost seven-year relationship, it looks like Apple is breaking up with audio chip maunfacturer Wolfson Microelectronics.  Wolfson has been creating most of the iPod audio chips since the iPod hit the market in 2001, but won't be providing the chips for the iPod nano and iPod touch in Q3.

Wolfson had been left out of the picture for the iPod classic and the iPod shuffle (Gen 1), so this may not come as a surprise to those who follow this type of story.  The job of Apple's chief audio chip provider seems to be up for grabs with Cirrus and Samsung making their plays for the top spot.  One can only wonder if iPod owners can actually tell the difference in this component change.
