Two small Scottish companies of Glasggow, Picsel (Research) Ltd and Picsel Technologies Ltd have filed a lawsuit against Apple’s hot-selling iPhone and iPod Touch devices. They say that Apple has incorporated Picsel-patent technology that facilitates rapid redrawing of content displayed on the screen of the devices. According to the company, this technology allows iPhone and iPod Touch users to zoom and pan across documents and web pages without waiting for a long time for the screen to be refreshed.

The Picsel companies say that they have invested million of dollars in developing this technology. Still, the lawsuit does not ask for any re-compensation for damages.

 
 

There are some new accessories introduced for Apple’s iPod. One such accessory is the Ewoo’s HandMusic dock for Apple’s iPod which has a remote controller that mimics the look and feel of an iPod. So, now you can connect your Apple’s iPod to a home stereo and control your iPod through this remote. The remote has a radio link of 2.4 GHz and allows you to create play-lists while browsing through your iPod’s music, photos and videos.

Shenandoah University has been giving out a MacBook laptop computer and an iPod Touch to all its 430 fresh students. To follow the pattern, there are several other universities who are also making Apple products mandatory to use and handing them out to their students.
