Dance Dance 01/31/2009

Talking of new releases, there are for sure two games which tok us to the shop. Silent Hill: The Escape features original gameplay, detailed graphics and spine-chilling sound effects created specifically for the iPhone. In this first-person, 3D shooter survival horror game, players navigate through various levels from an abandoned hospital to a cold subway with a dull flashlight while fighting off monsters and faceless nurses.

The battery of the flashlight slowly dies throughout the game, limiting the player’s vision as they search for a key to escape the monster-infested labyrinth. DanceDanceRevolution S Lite: The worldwide sensation that started the dance game craze doesn’t miss a beat on the iPhone. DanceDanceRevolution S Lite is the first installment in the popular videogame franchise designed exclusively for the iPhone and iPod Touch. In this addictive music rhythm game, players tap the arrows on the control pad as they appear on the screen.

Zune It Out 01/31/2009

Microsoft Corp accounted last week that sales on its Zune MP3 player came down by 54 percent during the last quarter. The Zune rival, Apple Inc's iPod, grew more than 3 percent in market share and is seen as the lead music player. While the software giant is cutting dissections that don't have improved sales, some analysts wonder if Zune is on the way out.

Microsoft Zune sales dropped $100 million during the quarter. Last week, Microsoft declared a workforce cutback of 5,000 employees. Most of those employees work for divisions that aren't making sufficient profits in a time when most technology companies are cutting costs. However, it will probably take more for the software giant to remove its Zune multimedia player from its product line.  For example, the Xbox 360 console is still hurting Microsoft with costs. The company is losing money each time the gaming console is sold.

Radio on Web 01/27/2009

Since its release in July of 2008, the Pandora Internet radio iPhone app has been one of our favourites and a reliable top download from Apple's iTunes App Store. Pandora's organized and sensitive interface, united with its unique skill for song recommendations, makes it an ideal no-fuss app.
In version 2.0, Pandora adds several new features without deterring the simplicity that made the original app so great. Users can now listen to 30-second previews of bookmarked tracks directly within the app, without bouncing over into the iTunes store. You can also send links to songs now, as well as stations, to contacts from your address book.

Acceleration 01/27/2009

Accelerometers are the in thing now days, with Apple's iPod Touch leading the way. The iPod Touch has also plugged itself as a gaming platform, which has to annoy Nintendo. Also, there's the Nintendo Wii, which uses both an accelerometer as well as a motion-sensing device.
That way it's no surprise that Nintendo has patented a ‘direction’ card for the Nintendo DS, according to Silicon-era. It's important to note that the patent covers the ‘DS Houi Sensor Card,’ with ‘Houi’ meaning "direction". Though it hardly specifies either an accelerometer or motion-sensing device. Either, however, promises a new generation of oddly bobbing, bouncing gamers on the go.

Apple has sold 4.4 million iPhones and iPod but the total sale bring out 13.7 million units. Why Apple is not giving Cheap Ipod to everyone? The company is taking various measures to generate the revenue but they don’t want to think about the consumer’s budget. The sale value of the phones were 2.6 billion which was amazingly good .The store was selling 515,000 Macs roughly 20 percent but having no idea of loosing middle class users . Apple management informed there have some plans in pipelines. However, 25 more Apple stores are coming all over the world but middle class techie savvy are still craving for cheap iPod which they can easily afford.

When Apple introduced the iPhone, it was feared that it would kill the market of iPods. However, Apple has been innovative as the iPhone in the first case is contracted with heavy commitment and secondly, it is too expensive to be afforded by everyone. Finally, they came up with iPod Touch which was an iPhone without a phone. Recently the iPod has been revamped by Apple so that it can deal better with the iPhone 3G. The two devices, iPod Touch 2G and Nano 4G have amazing looks with their sleek bodies. Nano being the slimmest iPod and iPod Touch has inbuilt speakers now.

Apple is porting the iPhone features to the iPods which is nothing unnatural. To meet the demands of the users of not providing FM and sound recording, Apple is also now offering accessories with iPod which have become real popular.

A two versions of a Hip Case have been designed for the iPod Nano 4G and iPod classic 120GB. One version is of leather and there is an “eco-aware” version which is made from a natural, corn-based fiber. This latest Hip Case by DLO is of $30 each. It is like a pedestrian flip-style case of the sort which has become very common.

Each Hip Case has a built-in belt clip that when opened shows the screen and controls of the iPod. This is normally obscured due to a large front flap. The earlier Hip Cases released last year were not decently and modestly designed as the latest ones.
